of these people, there are 1½ that i talk to in my native language. there are ~4 that i half talk to in a language i only speak well enough to have conversations about food, weather, or obama. because conversations about obama go like this:
obama?the ½ person is a puppy that i talked to for ~1 hour at an outdoor adoption center in the park three weeks ago
obama!
but, obama?
well, definitely obama., and probably obama! eventually, just give it some time

do you know me? i think i could at least count as 1/2, at least i respond in your native language unlike the puppy - and if the puppy does respond in your native language than i think he should count as 1, maybe 1 1/2 people.
ps - you and V. should visit J. and I next time you're in NYC. we're moving there in August.
